Sometimes I feel more awake when I'm asleep.
Over 4 years, the artist-curated large-scale outdoor art exhibitions at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, commissioning and producing more than 50 thought-provoking, site-specific sculptures and installations. Showcasing work by both established and emerging artists across Scotalnd, these installations transformed the festival landscape, engaging thousands of attendees with imaginative experiences.
Alongside curatorial work, the artist developed their own sculptural practice, creating evocative works such as Wild Thing, a moss-covered car, Shelter, a re-purposed Highland council bus stop and re-imagined institutional beds, inspired by themes of displacement, rest and altered states of consciousness. One artwork was particularly influenced by the poignant reflection: "Sometimes I feel more awake when I am asleep"
